A Slight Detour on the Mediterranean: Dracamar's Island Adventure Delayed
Petoons Studio is taking a few extra weeks to polish their sunny, PS2-inspired 3D platformer before we can save the Okis.
Retro-style platformers are very popular right now, and a new game called Dracamar has caught the attention of many players with its sunny Mediterranean theme. However, you will have to wait just a little longer to play it. The developers at Petoons Studio, based in Barcelona, have announced a short delay for the game’s release on PC and consoles. It was supposed to come out very soon, but the team ran into some unexpected technical issues. The good news is that the new launch date should be just a few weeks away.
Core Features
Play as three different teenagers, each with their own style.
Explore 15 regular levels and find 5 hidden challenge levels.
Fight against 7 big boss enemies across the islands.
Team up with a magical friend named Iko to solve puzzles and beat bad guys.
Help fix the world by collecting energy to repair bridges between the islands.
The game is a fun throwback to the late 90s and early 2000s, especially classic PlayStation 2 games where you collect items to progress. The story follows three teenage heroes named Caliu, Foc, and Espurna. Together, they must protect their island home from an evil dragon named King Crad. But the game isn’t just about fighting. It also focuses on helping the community and nature. Players must rescue magical creatures called Okis and collect energy spheres to rebuild broken bridges. This connects the different islands back together, from the beaches all the way up to the snowy mountains.
Petoons Studio Fun Facts
The independent studio started in 2017 and is located in Barcelona, Spain.
They are known for making great family-friendly games that are easy for anyone to pick up and play.
The team has a lot of experience making games for huge brands like Peppa Pig, PJ Masks, and Monster High.
While delays can be a bummer, taking extra time to fix bugs is usually a great thing for the final game. Studio boss Sergio García and his team want to make sure Dracamar runs smoothly and is fun for everyone. This is very important for 3D platformers, where jumping and moving the camera need to feel just right. Waiting a few extra weeks is worth it if it means we get a polished, glitch-free adventure.
